The study aims to improve the patient experience by evaluating a new, FDA-approved pain medicine called EXPAREL®. Unlike oral, opioid medications, EXPAREL is a topical analgesic that our surgeons apply in the breast pocket during surgery. EXPAREL’s time-released formula works for 72 hours, reducing or even eliminating the need for oral medications and improving patients’ comfort during those hours just after surgery.
Dr. Stanley G. Poulos and Dr. Yngvar A. Hvistendahl are in search of breast augmentation patients to participate in this study. If you’re selected, you’ll undergo your breast augmentation and have EXPAREL injected in 1 breast and simply washed over the other. After your procedure, you’ll fill out a 1-minute questionnaire asking you to explain any difference in discomfort between the 2 breasts.
If you’re one of the first 50 patients to sign up, you’ll get a $2,000 discount on your surgery. Candidates will go through our normal breast augmentation consultation process, including using our VECTRA® 3-D imaging system to view what potential results could look like. Keep in mind that the use of EXPAREL will not affect the results of your surgery, only how you feel while you recuperate. For just a minute of your time filling out a survey, you can reap major savings.
If you’d like to participate in our study, fill out our easy-to-use online form to get in touch with us. We can’t wait to help you look your best — and help future patients feel good, too.
